Tom Taylor, CPA/PFS
Founder & Chief Investment Officer
Tom Taylor is the Chief Investment Officer at Chesapeake Financial Advisors where he manages client investments in CFA’s Core & Explore investment portfolios but if you ask him about the most important part of his job he’ll tell you that it is being the Financial Leader in the lives of his clients. On any given day you can find him meeting with clients, providing critical advice and guidance. Certified as a CPA/PFS and in Series 65 he says the ability to take away the stress that is often associated with money, investments, and taxes from others pushes him forward each and every day.
Originally from Essex, he says nothing makes him happier than hearing my clients say they are so thankful they found me. “A client once told me after referring me to other members of their family that I was the greatest gift she had ever given to her family. That’s what keeps me in the business.”
He says he became a CPA and Financial Advisor in the first place after seeing his single mother struggle without the help she needed to make informed financial decisions.
“I’m committed to being present for my client family and take pride in everything I do for them. Life throws us a lot of curveballs and being a financial leader in my clients’ lives demonstrates I care when one of those curveballs is thrown at them.”
In his free time, you can find him reading, researching, and listening for cues about the next best company stock to buy. He also enjoys spending time with his wife and children, coaching youth football for the Hereford Bulls, traveling to Disney World and the beach, binge-watching a good show, and learning about history, especially about the Civil War or by visiting historic sites.
