Join us in Raising Awareness for Prostate Cancer

In the United States, 1 in 8 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime. 

What is No Shave November? No Shave November is a campaign that occurs every year in the month of November to bring awareness to Prostate Cancer. Every November, men will participate by growing their facial hair over the course of the month by not shaving and donating what they would have spent to prostate cancer research. Thanksgiving photos will be memorable!

Prostate cancer is the second most common cancer to affect men in the United States. Early detections are critical. It is recommended to start screenings and tests at the age of 50 after your first screening test you should re-test every 2-3 years. There are three options for testing available and it’s easy!

The PSA test is the easiest option and it is a simple blood test that shows the levels of prostate-specific antigen in your bloodstream. The Gleason score measures the amount of prostate cells when put under a microscope. The scores of the test ranges from 1-5. If the cells resemble normal prostate cells, then your score is lower.

Participate in No Shave November

If you would like to participate in our No Shave November campaign, take a picture today at your starting point and freshly shaved. Don’t shave until November 30, 2022, and snap your photo of the results! We will donate an additional $50 for each photo we receive up to $500! Email us your photos at invest@peakeadvisors.com if okay with us sharing them on social media.
